Western Cape is a province in the south western corner of South Africa.

Western Cape was once part of the much larger Cape Province, but has been its own political entity since post-Apartheid reorganization of the country in 1994. Western Cape province comprises the Cape of Good Hope as well as an L-shaped stretch of coastline from the Atlantic to the Indian Ocean.

Cape Town is the cultural centre of the province as well as its largest city. The area around the capital is home to museums and theatres as well as the breathtaking Table Mountain National Park, which offers hiking and gorgeous views of the area. The long coastline also provides many lovely beaches for those who love to relax or enjoy water sports.

Other major cities in the province include George, Paarl and Worcester. George is at the centre of the Garden Route, home to the mildest climate in South Africa, which makes it popular with tourists. Paarl is a prosperous community among the winelands of Western Cape and sports lovely gardens and restaurants. Worcester is notable as a sporting centre where visitors can watch rugby, cricket and tennis matches.
